BACK / ENVIRONMENTs

Once storyboarding and the animatic was complete, I started working on Space Bear's world. Initially, the colour palette for the environments was going to be primarily the same - bright, airy shades to complement the characters. We then decided to have a different palette for the opening sequence to help sell the eerie tone before snapping back to colourful yet real-life colours. Below is a look at my process from rough layout to final painted background.
